We didn't really get to take any picutres, because my camera seems to be broken. Not fun!
We started out vacation with a trip up to Dewey on Thursday. We had looked around online and found a farm that let you go out in the field and pick your own pumpkin. On the way up we found the cart on the corner in Dewey and asked for directions... this SHOULD have tipped us off. The nice older mad working the cart was toothless and not very sure of how to get to HIS farm. We took his directions and set off, hoping he was right. After an hour or so traveling up and down a dirt road we finally found the place. There was a lovely rotting tomato vine out front, a dog with no leash or fence, a dumped old water heater, and a lovely green house... NOT A FARM. Anthony and I agreed that this was a little too "Deliveranc-y" for us and we left. We stopped at the outlets, had lunch, and let Lorelei play. Then we went to Glendale and found a nice little pumpkin patch in town. It was quite the adventure.
Friday brought us to Arizona Mills. We took Anthony's mom with us and headed to the aquarium there. It was really cool and I would definitely recommend it (with a discount). There were sharks, jellyfish, sting rays, sea horses, and a lot of facts. The staff knew what they were talking about and answered any questions we had. We walked the rest of the mall and then headed home. The night was uneventful, but that was ok.
Saturday got a little interesting. We were supposed to take my brother out to Gilbert for the morning. When we got there to pick him up he wasn't even awake yet and we determined that it wasn't worth the drive, since he would have been late to his class and not let in anyway. So we left him and headed to breakfast. We spent the day just bumming around town. Went to the 50% off sale at Goodwill and picked up books for the kids (including the book that Meet the Robinsons was based on). That night we set up "camp" in the middle of the living room floor. By this I mean... we moved the furniture and laid out blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags. We ordered pizza and watched Hocus Pocus. Then it was out to the backyard to make smores. After that we packed into bed and watch Beauty and the Beast while everyone fell asleep. Lorelei really enjoyed it, and it was fun to spend relazing time together.
Sunday was all about Football! We all sat together and watched all day. It was a blast and a good relaxing end to the vacation.
We learned some amazing things about Juliette this weekend. On Wednesday night she went from laying on her stomach to sitting up, all by herself. I was so surprised. Then the next day she was crawling! It's still the initial army crawl stage, but it's awesome none the less. She is growing so fast.
Lorelei is still Lorelei :) And I would not have that any other way. She can get moody and emotional, but it's always when she's tired. But she is the best help I could ever ask for. she's such a sweet loving little girl and the jealousy with Juliette is really wearing off. In May we're taking her to Disneyland for her birthday. It was supposed to be this past weekend, but we had to postpone. Luckily we are FOR SURE going then. I can't wait, she is going to love it so much.
